Pyrgos Village

Pyrgos Village

In our Exo Meria (outer side) as, we locals, call the North side of our island, which has been described as the world monument of human labor, one can enjoy swimming in crystal clear waters; go hiking on very old marble paths; visit monasteries and chapels of unique beauty; walk through the narrow streets of noble Pyrgos and the surrounding smaller villages.

Chalepa’s Museum

Chalepa’s Museum

One can taste local specialties and fresh fish in the harbor of Panormos; drink a coffee in the famous square with the perennial plane tree; visit Chalepas’s home, the Tinian Artists’ Museum and the Marble-Sculpture Museum where one can learn everything about marble-sculpture, a long tradition in Pyrgos.

One can discover a different Greece: a country that invites you to love it. At the same time, Pyrgos can be used as a base for excursions all around the island with its over-forty well-preserved villages, the hundreds of dovecotes, its magical Cycladic landscapes, its clean beaches and also to Chora (town) for the pilgrimage to Virgin Mary.
